With new restaurants and bars opening constantly in Sarasota, it’s important to offer something unique. At the beginning of 2017, Cask & Ale opened its doors to the public, dedicated to offering a modern whiskey bar experience on Main Street.
Cask & Ale sports a rustic, dark wood interior with an impressively stocked bar and plenty of high-top seating area. Behind the bar, Cask & Ale carries over 250 whiskeys on any given night. Michael Scalzi, the Operations Manager at Cask & Ale, thinks a wide selection is important.
“Our goal at Cask & Ale is to provide a premium bar experience with premium whiskeys,” he says. “We’re definitely the only place in Sarasota with a selection this big.”
And whiskey isn’t the only thing on the drink list.
“We also have a wide selection of local craft beers on tap for the beer drinkers,” says Michael. “And our craft cocktail menu is popular.”
The craft cocktails at Cask & Ale are as imaginative as they are delicious and refreshing. The appropriately named “Ginger Ginger” cocktail features Michter’s Sour Mash Whiskey, Pineapple Ginger Cordial, lemon and ginger beer.
But the drinks aren’t the only thing on which Cask & Ale is focused. The kitchen stays open late and is churning out beautifully crafted appetizers and dinners. Start your night off with an order of poutine, pimento cheese spread with grilled crostini or a signature fried chicken sandwich with slaw and fresh arugula.
Looking to make moves while the sun is still shining? Cask & Ale has a Sunday Brunch special with a unique food menu and signature Brunch Cocktails. Treat yourself to decadent Brioche French Toast with local Florida strawberries, candied pecans and bourbon maple toffee. Oh, and bottomless mimosas are definitely on the menu.
