The Yoder family moved down to Sarasota, Florida from Indiana in the 1970’s. Their focus was providing authentic, homemade comfort food that would never leave guests hungry.
Since then, Yoder’s Amish Village has added the gift shop, produce market, deli and full restaurant, creating an immersive Amish experience in the heart of Sarasota.
The real reason to pull over and check out Yoder’s Amish Village is their award-winning restaurant. The Yoder’s Restaurant was even on the popular “Man v. Food” TV show, where Adam Richman sampled some of the Yoder’s favorites.
Breakfast time is always buzzing around Yoder’s. Whether you like a Traditional Breakfast with farm fresh eggs or decadent Apple Fritter French Toast, you’re sure to find something to suppress your early morning hunger pains at Yoder’s.
When ordering your French Toast at Yoder’s, you’ll have some important choices to make: one, two or three slices. But these aren’t your typical French Toast slices. The homemade bread at Yoder’s is sliced extra thick, so ordering three slices is a deliciously massive undertaking.
Yoder’s Famous Fried Chicken has a magnetic effect on the locals in Sarasota. The chicken is all-natural, hand battered and deep fried in a special deep pressure fryer, which makes the chicken crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside.
Customer happiness is at the top of the list of priorities at Yoder’s. Terri, our server, talked about the Yoder’s mission.
“We don’t serve anything here that customers don’t like,” she says. “Every item on the menu is treated as if it’s the favorite.”
And don’t skip dessert at Yoder’s. Every pie at Yoder’s is baked fresh and entirely from scratch. The Peanut Butter Cream Pie is the favorite slice among the Sarasota locals. Need more than a slice? Yoder’s has plenty of whole fresh baked pies being sold daily.
Enjoy the comforts of home at Yoder’s Amish Village.
